Adult/Part-Time Bronze Medallion

The Point Lonsdale 2024 Adult Bronze course is scheduled for:

13th, 19th, 20th, 26th, 27th Oct & 3rd Nov 2024

You will need to attend 5 sessions, which must include both the first session on Oct 13th and last session on Nov 3rd, which is the assessment day.

Expressions of Interest are now open for ages 17 - 75. Please complete the October Course RSVP using the link below.

Note: In the unlikely event that dates do change, you will be notified within a reasonable timeframe.

If you are unavailable for the October course, complete the Expression of Interest below to be kept up to date with future course information.

You will learn CPR, basic first aid and spinal management, as well as rescue techniques using a tube and rescue board.

Achieving a Bronze Medallion is an extremely rewarding experience and will open up many opportunities for you through lifesaving. You can join a normal patrol or request to join the Active Reserve Patrol (which patrols annually on Australia Day). You will also be able to assist with water safety at events and training programs (including Nippers).

If you agree to patrol, upon completion of the course you will be provided with a lifesaving uniform!

Prerequisites: You must be able to swim 400m in a pool, jog 1 lap of a footy oval (slowly is ok) and be open to learning new things! You must also be a current active member of PLSLSC.

Some of the theory work will be self-paced, so you must be prepared to complete work between the face-to-face training sessions.
